It is my job to oversee all members of Cabinet and Staff and to serve in an advisory role to the SGA President. I will report the activities of all Cabinet and Staff members on a weekly basis. I will also be preparing the annual SGA budget request as I oversee all of the SGA financial accounts. One of my goals this year is to ensure that the student body knows what Student Government Association is and who is a part of it. I want students to feel comfortable coming up to any member of SGA and voicing their ideas and/or concerns. This will really help us become unified in the RU community. I am also very excited about community service and hope to help coordinate a lot of projects for SGA since the focus of our centennial celebration is service.
I am a senior Finance major with an emphasis in Financial Planning and a minor in Psychology. I am a member of the Business Honors Fraternity Beta Gamma Sigma. And I serve as co-chair on the Student Finance Committee.
My motto: "Dream what you want to dream; go where you want to go; be what you want to be, because you only have one life and on chance to do all the things you want to do"
It is my job to record the minutes and attendance at each Senate meeting, to act as the manager of the SGA office (schedule and coordinate office hours, oversee orders for office supplies, etc.), and to ensure the annual report is filled and collected, among other things. It is my goal this year to help the SGA be more organized than in the past. I intend to provide accurate accounts of all SGA meetings, all staff, senator, council, and executive attendance at all SGA events, and even records on votes and motions that pass or do not pass in weekly meetings. It's imperative to have all of this information organized and available for future reference.
As a student government, we hope to represent you all as best we can. You are primary concern and the reason for this organization. If there is anything you feel we can do better or if you have any suggestions, do not hesitate to come to us. We're here for you.
I am a sophomore Political Science and Philosophy double major. I'm involved in National Society of Collegiate Scholars along with being in the Honors Academy as a Highlander Scholar. Hey my fellow Highlanders! I am a junior majoring in Computer Science and I will be serving as the Web Site Administrator for the SGA during the 2009-2010 school year. My role is to take the ideas and announcements that come out of the Monday meetings, and get them on the web as soon as possible so that all of you can see what exactly we are up to. Keeping you guys in tune with campus activities and potential changes that the college is making that can affect you is extremely important to the SGA, and our website is the perfect platform for informing everyone.
I will also be providing technical support to those members using the SGA office, so that they spend the upmost time working to make your college experience all that it can be. I will also be in touch with the clubs that correspond with the SGA, to make sure that they have all the tools necessary to keep their pages neat and updated. I look forward to serving all of you this year and if there is any way the site can be more helpful or informative to you, please don't hesitate to shoot me an email!

My role in the SGA is to make sure meetings adhere to Roberts Rules of Order, and to serve as an advisor to the SGA in regards to official SGA policies and procedures. This year I would like to improve the SGA image among students, and work to get the voice of the student body heard.
I am a senior, my major is Political Science, and my minor is Forensic Studies. I am president of Sports Club Council, VP of Wrestling Club, and I’m in Football Club, Political Science Club, and Criminal Justice Club.
My motto: "I always try and make a lasting impression on everyone... I want everyone to remember that they met me."
It is my job to make sure that you, the student body, know what your student government is doing for you. I will be working with the rest of the SGA to ensure that you know about exciting events and opportunities, as well as what we’re discussing and voting on in our weekly meetings. I am also the SGA representative to the Student Media Committee.
I will do my best this year not only to let you know what SGA is doing, but also to make sure students are properly informed regarding decisions in other parts of the university that may affect you. Did you know that every student (yes, you) is a member of the SGA? And did you know that our student government (you) has a say in university-wide policy and budgetary decisions? So, we encourage you to approach us with any questions, ideas, or concerns – it’s your right as an RU student! You are more than welcome to stop by our meetings in the Bonnie Combo Room on Mondays at 5:00. I am proud to be a Highlander and proud to serve the student body. Please don’t hesitate to contact me any time.
I am a junior majoring in Anthropology and Biology. I’m a Highlander Scholar, and a member of the Association of Student Anthropologists RU, the CSAT STEM Club, and I do a work/study in the RU Greenhouse.

If you are a current Radford University student, then you are a member of the Student Government Association. Our student body is governed by students, for students. The university exists for the benefit of students. We deserve to, and do, have influence in university-wide policies and student activity funding.
SGA is the voice of the student body. And we cannot be your voice without your help. So look around our website, get familiar with some of the things we do, and contact us whenever you have questions, ideas, or concerns; need guidance on university procedures; need help with an event; or just want to say hi. All of us working together will make Radford a truly special place and a life-changing experience.
This year SGA endeavors to closely listen to student
opinion and be a channel for open communication between
students and the administration and faculty. We’re
taking a hands-on approach to achieving goals like
increasing school spirit, sustainability, diversity
awareness, and service on campus. We also sponsor many
fun events ranging from Homecoming to the Highlander
Olympics. We believe in open access to information,
student leadership, integrity, excellence, and constantly
bettering RU and the student experience.
