SGA Senate Meeting Agenda March 21, 2005 5:00 PM Commonwealth Room I. Call to Order: 5:08 PM II. Welcome III. Approval of Minutes: Move to approve, 2nd, passed IV. President’s Report a. Congratulations: To everyone who worked very hard on the elections b. Seniors: Seniors need to tell Kenda if they are graduating in May-We will be getting SGA Cords c. Summer: If you will be taking summer classes or will be here over the summer and you would like to help out the SGA, please let Kenda Know d. Proposal from the General Education requirements: We have the largest in the nation which is 50 credits and the proposal suggests that we reduce the numbers to a maximum of 38 credits. Please come back next week with suggestions e. Parking pole said that 66% of students that students should be restricting on parking. Parking committee will be meeting tomorrow and please talk to your friends regarding this issue. V. Executive Vice President’s Report a. Awards: Wed April 20th is banquet and please RSVP if you are able to come or not. We will be voting on SGA awards, so please take one and fill them out and give them to Ashley VI. Legislative Vice President’s Report a. Congratulations to winners: Everyone who had anything to do with the elections b. Run-off elections: Next Tuesday and Wednesday for College of Business, rising seniors and rising sophomores. VII. Vice President of Student Finance Report a. Budget Hearing: We covered standard accounts and if you have questions on them please see Stephanie. Next week SFC will meet and will go over a tentative budget outline. Within the next two weeks, Stephanie will have a budget VIII. Cabinet/Staff Reports a. Highlander Days: please sign up. Email reminder will go out for those who are helping with the Junior Open House this Friday b. SGA Day: March 28th is SGA day. If you have anything that you would like to have on the table, please give them to Adrianne. We will have a SGA spirit day at the Baseball Game in April. c. Parliamentary Workshop: Monday April 18th after the meeting d. Historian: Please send pictures for the slide show to Amanda IX. Council Reports a.
