Senate Meeting Minutes
October 22nd, 2007

I. Call to Order 5:02 pm
II. Approval of Minutes
     Approved
III. President’s Report
     a. BOV - Regis met with the board to give the student government report. Topics discussed were 
       i. The Emergency alert system, Advocacy day, and the school spirit committee.
     b. Recycling
       i. A recycling committee is forming and SGA members will be participating. 
     c. SGA Goals
       i. SGA members – examine the goals that you came up with over the summer during the retreat. Next Monday Regis will bring up the goals for discussion.
IV. Executive Vice President 
     a. Safe Ride Forum
        i. The forum is Tuesday at 7 pm in the Heth ballroom is MANDATORY for all SGA members.
V. Legislative Vice President
     a. Senator Reports due next Monday
       i. Send them to Rochelle
     b. Probation Letters
       i. If you are on probation there will be a letter in your mailbox.
     c. Jeopardy Cancelled
       i. The times conflicted with the safe ride forum.
VI.	Student Finance Vice President
     a. Budget memo and schedule
       i. The budget will be completed by February 11th.
     b. Leadership compensation discussion
       i. If you have any input please contact Juliann Abercrombie
VII. Senate Reports
      a. Ashley is looking for pictures of December graduates for a slideshow for the banquet. If you have any to send, e-mail them to Ashley Hall

     a. School spirit promotion coordinator
       i. There was a SGA Table on Saturday at the open house, the bookstore donated items and it was a success.
     b. Legislative Action Coordinator
       i. Absentee ballot forum – Tuesday and Wednesday 11-3 downstairs in the Bonnie. 
       i. Advocacy trip interest meeting – Tuesday night at 8 and Wednesday night at 7 downstairs in Heth.
